Interdisciplinary theme learning 2020-2021

From 26th to 28th April we started the interdisciplinary theme learning week for P1 to P3.

This year’s learning theme was “Community helpers”, in response to the learning goals of “caring for our community through love”.  We adopted “exploration in 4 steps”:

Discover the problem, analyze & organize, collect information and do, allowing students to learn and act as “community helpers”.  First learn about our community, understand their needs, improve our actions and welcome the visit by alien examiners.

“Green in Sham Shui Po” recycling activity

 

Let students put into practice “caring for the community”.  In this academic year, we were lucky to have “Green in Sham Shui Po” environmental station to come to school

and organize the recycling activity.  On that day, students donated toys, picture books and storybooks to residents in the community.  This was done in response to community needs and to spread environmental messages.

To deepen students’ knowledge of the Sham Shui Po district, we held an electronic version of “Sham Shui Po general knowledge quiz competition” through Kahoot.  The winning class could participate in the “Captain experimental class” to experience as the school’s captain as a special reward.
