Showing more students’ work

  • Students’ artworks are on display in the lobby’s visual arts corner.
  • Every student will participate in the “One person, one work” show.

This enhances each student’s sense of achievement.

  • Hold intramural competitions, use students’ artworks as printed covers of pamphlets and badges. This provides more incentives to create.
  • Place students’ pottery and sculpture works in every corner of the campus to create an atmosphere filled with art.

 

Emphasize evaluation, create a learning environment for “self-evaluation” and “mutual evaluation”

  • Vote in the “One person, one work” show. Do evaluations.
  • “Show and Tell” in class, summarize what was learnt as other students respond.
  • Use students’ works in class for mutual evaluation. Find room for improvement.

 

Self-learning

  • Practice art without paper (e-teaching) in stages, mainly for P3 and P4 students.
  • Collect resources for project learning and write a weekly journal.
  • Research various master painters, report in class.
  • Visual arts award scheme, learn more.
  • Visual arts ambassador program for students to actively promote art.

 

Broaden students’ experience in art

  • Create a visual arts catalogue of competitions in and outside classes. Award students with the highest rate of participation.
  • Art ambassador program: pick talented students to participate in competitions.
  • Invite artist-in-residence to help with teaching, deepen the visual art curriculum for higher grades, strengthen students’ knowledge and skills in pottery, sculpture and seal carving.
  • Art Day for the whole school:  all teachers and students collaborate on large scale creations to decorate the campus.
